Torn Wings of a Butterfly

Torn wings of a butterfly,
Lost hope and dreams,
The sky is piercing black
And the sun won’t shine,
Pain has always been brought on this family,
So why does this death make any difference?
No one cares,
No one ever cares,
They’re probably better off anyway,
This poor butterfly…
Can never see her family again,
All she does is disgrace them,
That’s all she’s ever done,
So why should this day make any difference?
The moon is dim,
And so are her listless eyes,
And broken soul,
Her tethered wings lay
In the shadows beside her,
And she can never come home
Even when no one is there.
